The cahirleg of Trinity college

The cahirleg of Trinity college|Trinity toolijalg

This is the main gate for Trinity college and on it you can see the statue of Henry VIII. In his right hand he used to hold a sceptre but many years ago some students exchanged it with a wooden chair. It remains there to this day.

When in the 80s some new students put first a toilet brush and then a bicycle pump in his hand, the college replaced them with the chair leg again.
